How To Deposit

ATSIDA accepts digital Indigenous research data that aligns with its Collection Development Policy and deposit requirements.

Researchers are encouraged to contact ATSIDA to discuss dataset suitability and deposit requirements. Where a dataset is not suitable for deposit with ATSIDA, we may be able to suggest alternative repositories or storage solutions.

Deposit Process

1. Initial Consultation

The process begins with an initial consultation with the ATSIDA team to discuss the dataset and develop a plan.

2.Documentation

Depositors complete the required documentation, including a Data Deposit Agreement and Study Description Form.

3. Dataset Assessment

There is a review of the dataset documentation, metadata and file formats. We identify any relevant rights holders and ensure they are informed that ATSIDA will be holding the dataset.

4. Rights and Access Considerations

ATSIDA works with rights holders and depositors to determine appropriate preservation and access arrangements, including any cultural obligations or Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) considerations.

5. Archiving and Preservation

The dataset is archived and managed according to the agreed conditions.

Preservation and ongoing care is maintained by ATSIDA.
